| 012-05 | 09-Oct-05 | 09:21 | Rescue | Beer Head | A routine training session for Sidmouth
Lifeboat was diverted by Portland Coastguard to help Sidmouth Lifeboat- Pride of Sidmouth searched the coastline, and
using binoculars crewman Mike Vittles located the dog in a small
cave beneath Beer head. The dog was returned to the owners on holiday at Beer Head Caravan

| 011-05 | 18-Aug-05 | 19:50 | Rescue | Lyme Bay | ILB launched to assist a yacht in position 50 36.03 N, 003 10.00 W. Vessel had lost steering and had gear box problems. Exmouth Lifeboat arrived on scene and rigged tow, for recovery of vessel back to Exmouth. ILB then returned to station. |
| 010-05 | 15-Aug-05 | 14:26 | Search / Rescue | Peak Hill | ILB launched to assist 4 people in a dinghy 1/2 mile south of Peak Hill. ILB searched the area and located a small dinghy being towed by two swimmers. Swimmers were taken aboard ILB and dinghy towed back to Port Royal and landed ashore. ILB then re-tasked by Portland Coastguard to check on another vessel reported being towed towards Ladram Bay. Crew member was placed ashore at LadramBay and determined all persons in broken down vessel were un-injured. ILB returned to station at 15:30. |
| 009-05 | 13-Aug-05 | 16:14 | Rescue | Beer Head | ILB launched to assist a lady & her dog stuck on rocks at the base of Beer Head. Casuatlies was located at at 16:35 and a crew member placed ashore. Coastguard Helicopter Whiskey Bravo on scene 10 minutes later and winched both the lady and her dog on board. Casualtieswere then landed at the top of Beer Head and assisted by Beer Coastguard. |
| 008-05 | 03-Aug-05 | 15:18 | Search | Seaton Bay | ILB launched to search for 2 person being blown offshore in 2 inflatables, Seaton Bay. ILB was stood down at 15:28 after owners of the inflatables informed Coastguards that no persons were onboard. |
| 007-05 | 10-July-05 | 14:02 | Rescue | Ladram Bay | ILB launched to assist a Blue & White Bayliner vessel, unable to re-start it's engine approx 600m South of Ladram Bay. ILB towed vessel to Exmouth Fairway Buoy, where tow was passed to a smaller craft for towing to Cockwood. |

| 004-05 | 30-May-05 | 16:22 | Rescue | Ladram Bay | ILB launched to assist a 22ft motor cruiser with engine failure, approx 1m south of Ladram Bay. ILB arrived on scene and took the vessel under tow towards Exmouth Docks. The motor cruiser was then docked at the Exmouth Marina Entrance Pontoon. ILB returned to station at 18:52. |

ILB tasked to assist dive boat " Blue Turtle" approximately 16m ESE of Sidmouth. Dive boat had tangled a line in it's propeller and had an injured diver onboard. 2 Divers were still in the water at the time. ILB arrived on scene and transferred 2 divers from vessel "Seaquest" to the "Blue Turtle". The Injured diver was transferred by Coastguard helicopter to Dorchester Hospital. Divers then cleared the fouled propeller and "Blue Turtle" was escorted back to port. |

During
recovery of ILB from previous incident, the ILB was re-tasked to
assist a Lazer Dinghy in difficulty off of The River Axe. ILB arrived
on scene and took the occupant of the Lazer Dinghy onboard. ILB
then towed the Lazer Dinghy to Axmouth Beach and transfered occupant
to waiting ambulance onshore.

ILB searched base of the cliffs & beach from Sidmouth to Big Picket
Rocks, Nothing found. MIssing person was later found safe and well
at home. |
