Third callout in a week for Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat

While on exercise, Sidmouth 2 was tasked to reports of a person being blown out to see on a SUP off Budleigh beach.

Once the lifeboat had arrived on scene, a near shore search was quickly conducted along with a shore line to locate the paddleboarder.

Exmouth coastguard was also on scene walking the beach. No persons were found at sea.

Further information from Solent confirmed that the casualty had made it ashore and required no further assistance. Sidmouth 2 was subsequently stood down and returned to station.
